With regards about the Staff other than a few rude employees at the Front desk and in the Buffet the staff was friendly and courteous and that was refreshing. My best suggestion if you are staying there is Room Service the food came hot and tasty with plenty to share, one draw back is they charge you enormous fees like a preset tip and other charges so for two people it ran us anywhere from $65 for a snack to $95 each time we ordered, and we did so for three days Thank God for comps. The Buffet was a huge disappointment, at $27.99 a person I was hoping for a fantastic spread and it was a let down, even the dessert counter was sad, the employees were rude and not willing to help again they pointed instead of speaking to you, The other two places to eat were Pickles a Hamburger/Pizza bar and The Atrium which was small and the wait was not worth it.

Where I gave it a low grade was for the Restaurant, Food choices and several employee's, There was the Chicago Steak House and may I say make reservations because it is small and they make you wait a good 45 minutes for a table without one, the food was good, the Lobster bisque was of poor quality and had a foul taste the server came back and agreed there was something not right, they did take it off the check without my having to ask, the Rib Eye steak was amazing and at $145 for two people it was pricy. We had a view of the Horseshoe Casino and the Mississippi River. Upon our arrival we were lost inside the huge foyer there was no signage to direct you to the VIP check in and after asking the front desk we were directed with a finger point towards the elevator, confused we looked around and finally found a small room that read VIP on the door which was propped open, we were pleasantly surprised to see we were given a suite (see pictures below) It was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the shower was amazing and there were twin bathrooms which made it very convenient. The Gold Strike is situated in the middle of Soy fields and banks on The Mississippi River. First let me say that if you are not prepared before hand that Memphis is 45 minutes away from Tunica you need to be, We were picked up by their Limo which perhaps made the ride feel longer and add heavy rain I felt like it took forever to get there.

This was our first visit to Gold Strike, We are frequent flyers to The Beau Rivage in Biloxi, So with using our knowledge of that I feel this is a fare and honest review.
