Some of the discussion questions are as follows: Throughout the video, there are observational discussion questions for students to submit to the instructor or share with their peers. In each step of the way, the student will hear a school bell ring. We will begin by removing the lens from the eyes, exposing the brain, skinning, and identify major muscles. Then, I will dissect a leopard frog for the student using a step by step process through a Google Doc and video. Prior to the dissection, students will become familiar with amphibian characteristics through a video. An online quiz evaluates the student’s understanding. The demo video consists of discussion questions for students to submit to the instructor or with their peers. This asynchronous course is for a student to watch or follow the instructor. I spy a tongue! Then, once a peer responds, that student can return with I spy a _ to keep the game going. Their peers can try to guess what it is via the videos or the dissection itself. I spy something triangular inside the mouth of the frog. Students can interact with each other through an I spy game via the classroom. Questions are prompted in the Google doc layout of the course, which makes the student accountable to the instructor. Through an asynchronous format, students can discuss what they found unusual or interesting in the anatomy of the frog. ***Please note that the videos are set to private on Youtube because these are classes people pay a fee for they are not free to the public. Students will have handouts to refer to and learn the tips to easily access the mouth of a frog in the third video. They can watch the instructor do a step-by-step dissection of a leopard frog’s external anatomy in the second video. Students are provided diagrams and instructions to label the frog as they dissect. They will learn how they can make their own kit from items around their home.

Also to watch or follow the instructor on how to prepare to dissect a frog. This course is designed for a student to learn about amphibians specifically the leopard frog. There are many activities he or she can begin working on. So it is imperative that the student begin immediately. Being this is a five-week course, note that if you want your child to dissect along with the instructor, it will take time for your specimen to arrive. I will know they have completed each part because there are questions the student must respond to in the classroom. Students must complete each part before receiving the packet for the next part.
